- ➤ The Salvation Army says its in-person Red Kettle Campaign ended on Christmas Eve, but donations can continue online until year-end to help reach a $3.3 million goal that funds meals, shelter + emergency services for local families. WOWT
- ➤ AAA activated its Tow to Go program on Wednesday to offer a free ride and tow within a 10-mile radius to help impaired drivers during the holiday season (available for both AAA members and nonmembers in Nebraska and nearby states) and will run until 6 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2. WOWT

- ➤ KETV NewsWatch 7 spoke with a Norad team member who explained that radar (and satellites) are used to track Santa’s sleigh as he delivers gifts worldwide, a holiday tradition that started with a 1955 phone call and continues each year. KETV

- ➤ City officials are asking for help after 72-year-old Roger Hildebrandt went missing on Dec. 22 at 9:00 a.m. His vehicle was found near Camp Wa-kon-da at Fontenelle Forest (402 Forest Drive), and multiple agencies are still searching today. Bellevue Times

- ➤ Nebraska Medicine’s NICU babies dressed in festive Christmas outfits to celebrate the holiday. Nurses created cozy, felt costumes (including The Grinch, Frosty, an elf, and a reindeer) and posted them on Facebook Tuesday inviting votes for favorites. WOWT
