- ➤ Nebraska's Official Veterans Day Parade will take place at 10 a.m. on November 8 in Olde Towne Bellevue—honoring all who have served. The parade will run along Mission Avenue from Jackson Street to Washington Park and is free for everyone to attend. Bellevue Times
- ➤ The Bellevue Bazaar Craft Show will be held Sunday, Nov 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bellevue Knights Event Center at 1020 Lincoln Rd—shoppers can buy handcrafted gifts, enjoy local food, and enter raffle prize draws. Bellevue Times

- ➤ Crescent Moon is hosting the 14th annual celebration of Blackstone Hotel's Reubenfest—where visitors can taste classic Reuben sandwiches, egg rolls, mac n cheese and smoked Reuben. Owner Bill Baburek said the event runs through Saturday and requires slow-roasted brisket that cooks for 6 to 7 hours to prepare the many pounds of corned beef used. KETV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The new Westside Life Complex will fully open in time for the spring semester—its Italy-built pool is designed to reduce water turbulence for student-athletes while the facility also offers a gym for AP testing, a multi-purpose space for indoor band rehearsals, and a studio for faculty. Senior Ryan Kelly, who has tracked the project with the alumni association, said the expansion will ease travel time and improve practice schedules, and phase two renovations will finish in summer 2026. - ➤ The Bellevue University Library invites local residents to a free meditation and stress relief workshop at Freeman/Lozier Library, Room 480, on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. CST — Genevieve Williams will guide participants through grounding techniques, a guided meditation, reflective writing and a Q&A session with parking available in Lots A and B. - ➤ Omaha turned teal on Nov. 3 when six landmarks—including Bellevue University’s Administration Services building—lit up in honor of Alzheimer’s awareness, and experts say over 35,000 Nebraskans aged 65 and older are living with the disease; the effort was led by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America to shine a global light on the condition.
