Bellevue neighbors are worried about a workforce housing project that would add 80 affordable apartment units to a local corner—residents fear it may increase traffic and crowding.

Developers already reduced plans from 120 units after a study showed fewer than 30 extra cars during rush hour—city council will vote on rezoning on Nov. 4.

The Nebraska Mesonet is a network of sensors that gives farmers and weather forecasters the data they need, and it received $1.48 million in funding which added 21 stations this summer to fill key gaps—manager Ruben Behnke said the system may grow to 200 stations by 2030 as its future depends on steady government funds and local support. This boost helps keep critical weather and agricultural data flowing.
