  • Gov. Jim Pillen signed new Nebraska Medical Cannabis Commission regulations on Thursday that limit cannabis production to 1,250 plants per cultivator—capping the state total at 5,000 plants. Advocate Crista Eggers warned that the rules will choke the supply chain and said she is exploring other options after more than two-thirds of voters backed the program in November 2024.  KETV

  • The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America will host a free educational conference on Alzheimer’s disease and caregiving at Bellevue University’s Hitchcock Humanities Building (1040 Bruin Blvd) on Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.—experts will share insights on brain health and advanced planning.  KETV
