  • Michael Yamzon, a Papillion veteran battling Stage 4 mesothelioma after 22 years in the Air Force, met with Rep. Don Bacon in March to push for an independent review of cancer risks among missile community veterans — a move that may lead to new health measures if the bill passes. His efforts seek to ensure that cancer cases from toxic exposures are thoroughly investigated and addressed by Congress.  WOWT
  • Chef Robert Irvine hosted 'Breaking Bread with Heroes' at Offutt Air Force Base for 1,200 military personnel and their families, with 40 base volunteers preparing food early that morning.
