Bellevue police reported a higher than average number of accidents Tuesday — officers said drivers were running yellow lights at intersections and urged residents to slow down.

On Monday, Rep. Don Bacon introduced bipartisan legislation in Omaha to amend the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act of 1978—aiming to require detailed reports on foreign farmland purchases and enhance national security amid rising Chinese investments.
Nebraska filed a lawsuit against Colorado at the U.S. Supreme Court after Attorney General Hilgers and Governor Pillen said Colorado broke a 1923 water-sharing compact by taking too much water for summer irrigation and blocking the Perkins County Canal project (the state plans to complete the canal by 2032).
