- ➤ Nebraska Humane Society said it wants to help Texas animal shelters hit by floods but is at capacity with 104 dogs + 60 cats; on Tuesday it lowered adoption fees to free up kennels so it can join a Texas shelter's plan to fly about 60 animals to another location if space opens. KETV

- ➤ A 28-year-old from Plattsmouth faced four felony charges (attempted second-degree murder, terroristic threats, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and discharging a firearm near a vehicle) after a road rage incident on Highway 75 near Fairview Road in Bellevue and was arraigned with a $5 million bond.
