ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ NDOT reported in May that 16 people were killed in 14 crashes across Nebraska — 15 in rural areas and 13 on highways, which brought the 2025 total to 84 fatalities from 78 crashes statewide. WOWT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ John Hochstetler, 52, was sentenced to 11 years in prison on Tuesday for stealing an estimated $60,000 in life-saving emergency equipment intended for first responders — he deceived suppliers by falsely claiming to be an official with U.S. Search and Rescue, which led to most of the gear being recovered from a Bellevue townhome —. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At Offutt Air Force Base's 55th Wing, Col. Mark Howard passed command to Col. Aaron Gray in a ceremony that marked their fourth role reversal. Howard is moving to a new command in Virginia and Gray said he will give his all to lead the wing—an important part of our national defense. KETV
