Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 7th of June.
Good morning, Bellevue.
🏘️ Community
On Friday, shoppers donated food at the Stuff the Truck event held outside Baker’s near 173rd and West Center Road to support those facing hunger.
The Food Bank for the Heartland said donations are needed now as one in seven individuals and one in five children do not know where their next meal will come from—summer months bring a drop in financial giving.
Bellevue Food Pantry launched a community garden today in partnership with local small businesses and Boy Scouts to provide fresh produce starting this summer.
The project aims to help reduce food insecurity for the pantry’s 17,000 served community + neighbors interested in volunteering can contact the pantry.
