- ➤ Bellevue Police are searching for a suspect seen on security cameras stepping out of a car and attacking a food truck vendor near 36th Street and Chandler Road on late Sunday morning May 11 — the victim suffered a bloody nose and severe pain after being hit several times, and a woman seen with the suspect apologized before they drove away. - ➤ Nebraska lawmakers said they cannot accept Gov. Jim Pillen's line-item vetoes for budget bills because the vetoed items were not returned within the constitution’s five-day deadline. Speaker John Arch said that bills LB 261 and LB 264 were signed without the vetoes on May 15 and delivered to the secretary's office — while Pillen's office states they were received on the evening of May 21.
