- ➤ A Sarpy County judge sent 18-year-old Oscar Salazar to trial for first-degree murder and related firearm charges in connection with the January shooting that killed 21-year-old Jaydon Palma in Bellevue (Salazar is scheduled to appear in court on May 19 while he remains in custody). KETV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, the city broke ground on a $5 million project to revitalize the Saddle Creek Neighborhood Business District—led by City Council President Peter Festersen and local community leaders—to widen sidewalks, add a 10-foot bike path, improve a dangerous five-way intersection, and install 100 new parking stalls along North Saddle Creek Road from NW Radial Highway to The Peanut on 50th. The project is expected to be completed in November and will allow businesses to remain open during construction. KETV
