  • Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says morel mushroom foraging is in season, with mushrooms found along river bottoms and in hilly wooded areas above rivers. The commission advises hunters to get permission on private land and wear safety gear—mesh bags, insect repellent, and pocket knives—to avoid hazards and false morels.  WOWT

  • U.S. Senators Deb Fischer and Pete Ricketts spoke Tuesday morning at the Nebraska Farm Bureau about working to preserve key tax cuts from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. They said if the cuts were allowed to expire, an average family earning $80,000 would face a $1,700 increase in taxes and the national tax burden would rise by $4 trillion.  KETV
