  • After nearly four months of recovery from a serious fall and surgery, Bellevue restaurateur John Sakkas reopened John's Grecian Delight (located at Southroads Mall) last Friday and is easing back with a limited lunch schedule. His return comforts loyal customers who have followed his recovery.  Bellevue Times

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Fontenelle Forest staff will conduct a prescribed burn on Tuesday to remove invasive species and boost native growth. The controlled burn (starting between 2 and 3 p.m.) will finish by about 4:30 p.m., and nearby trails will be closed from noon for safety.  WOWT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • In 1917, Nebraska lawmakers passed a bill granting women the right to vote—albeit with some exceptions—after a 1914 petition collected over 48,000 signatures and before the state ratified the 19th Amendment in 1919.  WOWT
