- ➤ Gov. Jim Pillen lifted his burn ban on Thursday after the wildfire risk and drought emergency threat subsided, allowing fire departments statewide to resume issuing burn permits while some remain cautious due to lingering dry conditions. WOWT

- ➤ The DEA’s Omaha division invites locals to bring unused medications to dropoff sites, including Bellevue Police Department offices off Wall Street (hosting a local station), on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The effort prevents opioid misuse and ensures safe disposal. WOWT
