  • Local leaders will share details on Bellevue's progress, challenges, and future community initiatives during an upcoming event — registration is required and seating is limited with a $15 fee.  Bellevue Times
  • Bellevue Chamber launched BellevueOply for the second year, inviting residents to pick up a game board and visit local nonprofits and businesses to collect stamps, earn points, and win prizes (including a year of Chick-Fil-A, a one-year wash club membership, and a $500 gift certificate to Twisted Thunder Fireworks). The event began Tuesday and will run through May 30 with weekly engagement questions on social media.  3 News Now

CULTURE NEWS

  • Bellevue Berry and Pumpkin Ranch will host The Renaissance Festival of Nebraska — at 11001 S 48th St in Bellevue — on May 3 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The event will offer Renaissance-themed attractions for local families and visitors.  Bellevue Times
  • On Saturday, April 12th at 1:00 pm, the Sarpy County Museum will host a discussion with Catherine Baker Nicholson, author of Running in Borrowed Shoes, Thane Baker and the 1952 Summer Games—Olympic medalist Thane Baker will join the event, which will include a Q&A and book signing with free admission.  Bellevue Times

  • On Monday, the Legislature advanced a bill to ban the sale and production of lab-grown meat in Nebraska — the measure, introduced by Sen. Barry DeKay and supported by Gov. Jim Pillen, moves into the select file phase for further debate.  WOWT
  • On March 10, Bellevue’s Planning Director and Public Works Director visited Offutt Air Force Base’s flood recovery zone with base officials to review construction efforts that support operational readiness. The meeting reinforced plans for 36th Street improvements and Capehart Road widening—initiatives that will pursue further joint cost-saving measures.  Bellevue Times
