- ➤ Bellevue has begun work on a $2 million all-inclusive playground near the Missouri River — featuring interactive games, climbing, swings, and a new walking trail set to be complete by June 1. The city is also grading a site for Bellevue Bay Waterpark — which is expected to open in spring 2027. WOWT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ At about 10:30 p.m. on March 13, Bellevue police responded to shots fired at an apartment complex near 13th and Galvin Road and found 21-year-old George Negrete with a gunshot wound who later died at a metro hospital — a 23-year-old man involved in a fight with him was detained and taken to another hospital. - ➤ Offutt AFB opened a new campus for the Logistics Readiness Squadron Friday morning on a flood recovery area—11 feet of water once covered the site nearly six years ago, and Col. Mark Howard said the event marks a strong milestone in recovery. 3 News Now

- ➤ At Offutt Air Force Base, officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday to open a new campus building for the 55th Logistics Readiness Squadron, part of a $1.6 billion rebuild following the 2019 floods nearly six years ago.
