- ➤ A 14-year-old Mission Middle School student (Harper Hardin) won a contest to design a school resource officer cruiser wrap, and her white camouflage with purple accents reflects Bellevue’s military and school pride. Bellevue Police said her design will soon be on a cruiser serving local middle schools. WOWT
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Nebraska lawmakers advanced a bill that expands suspensions for Pre-K to 2nd grade students to include violent behavior, along with cases involving weapons or school vehicles. The bill requires a meeting with parents plus written and verbal notice and needs one more vote for approval. KETV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bellevue Mayor Rusty Hike is concerned the Sarpy County Museum could leave despite a lease (secured for one dollar in 1977 and running until 2076), and he has offered support while museum officials have provided limited response. 3 News Now
