- ➤ DC West Elementary School's library was awarded a $2,500 grant from KETV and Thrasher Foundation Repair to purchase new STEM materials such as 3D printers and programmable Ozobots; the funds will soon benefit 540 students from preschool through fifth grade. KETV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Legislators today are expected to debate LB 463, a bill that would require cardiac emergency response plans in schools and at athletic events to help save lives, with up to $1.5 million in funding available from Medicaid managed care funds—advocates say the measure could speed emergency response times. - ➤ Nebraska officials honored the state's Olympic athletes Tuesday morning (per Sen. Rick Holdcroft's request) at 9 a.m. in the Warner Chamber at the State Capitol before legislative business began; athletes are preparing for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. WOWT
